50 minutes 5 Steps

  1. Gather candidates

    • Up to 40 of your strongest images
    • Printed small, or laid out on one screen

  2. Cut to twenty

    20 minutes

    Remove anything that's not great, or doesn't fit with the others.

  3. Cut to twelve

    15 minutes

    This is the painful bit. If two images do the same thing, keep the stronger one.

  4. Sequence

    15 minutes

    A strong opener, a strong closer, and pairs that talk to each other in between.

  5. Get feedback

    • Show it to one person whose eye you trust
    • Ask which image they'd remove
